"What makes this beer so interesting is the heavy dry hopping with Eggers Hops Riwaka and Special X. Yes you heard us right, Special X.
Eggers, in general, grow some of the highest quality hops coming out of NZ, but where Kem and his team excel is their knowledge of Riwaka, a notoriously difficult to grow and low yielding hop with some of the punchiest aromatics out there.
In Extra Specky we’ve combined one of Eggers Riwaka lots with one of their experimental Riwaka strains Special X, this particular lot being code named ‘Yellow’.
The results speak for themselves, Extra Specky oozes complex citrus, hints of pine and tropical fruit and an unmistakable diesel stank (in a good way, you’ll see)."
