De la Senne / Schönramer Brauerei / Birrificio Italiano Freundslager
"FREUNDESLAGER is the result of a collaboration with two very good friends, true legends in brewing bottom-fermented beers: Eric Toft, from Schönramer Brauerei in Bavaria, and Agostino Arioli, from Birrificio Italiano - the inventor of the Italian Pils! Freundeslager has a beautiful, slightly cloudy orange color. The smell is typical of a lager, but clearly fruitier. It has a very malty and biscuity taste, which is very tasty. At the same time it also has floral and fruity aromas that are reminiscent of peaches, oranges and gooseberries. These flavors are made present by a clever mix of Belgian and German hops. It has a great body and complexity for a light beer, and it is well balanced by a fine bitterness."
